REFORESTATION AND CONSERVATION AREAS

AZPA has a reforestation plan for energy purposes for the Ingenio's self-sufficiency. The reforestation plots are carried out on low-fertility soils for agriculture, with the inclusion of fast-growing species that increase the potential for carbon sequestration and renewable biomass production.

The commitment to environmental conservation is one of the pillars of AZPA. We conserve more than 3,000 hectares of natural forests.

We work to generate a positive impact on the communities around us.

AZPA offers direct employment to approximately 800 people, who are trained annually on issues related to the Management Systems implemented by the company and specialized training in the areas of work.

Indirectly, AZPA reaches more than 1,500 families through various services and more than 2,000 sugar cane producers.

CIRCULAR

Circularity is part of the nature of the sugar sector, we adopt the circular economy in our production process —a model characterized by the reuse, recovery and recycling of materials and energy—.

It all starts in the cane field, which adopts by-products from the processing of sugar cane and re-incorporates it into the land, promoting new harvests and closing the cycle.
