Department of Agricultural Development and Extension

Technical assistance is undertaken by a department especially created for such work. It is called the Department of Agricultural Development and Extension.

The training of producers is given through technical sessions presented in the Department’s own locale. In it, there is a fully-equipped auditorium with instructional and audiovisual aids. Also, field sessions are delivered through the teaching of new techniques, experimental plots in various sugarcane zones, dispensing of seed for the establishment of communal seed centers for new sugarcane varieties, and giving out of ecological fertilizers.
