Research and Development
The Agricultural Experimentation Department aims to develop:
- The introduction and testing of new sugarcane varieties
- The preparation of varieties for mechanical harvesting
- Techniques of organic cultivation management
- The use of by-products in the industry
- Fertilization testing
- The control of weeds
At present, we have working agreements with two variety development centers in Brazil: the Canaviera Technological Center (ex-Copersucar) for the SP and CTC varieties and the Federal University of Sao Carlos for the RB variety.
