KosherKosher

The Hebrew word kashrut refers to the Jewish rules on nutrition and is the origen of the word Kosher meaning fitting or appropriate. In spite of the commonly-held notion, kashrut does not refer to a specific food type. Rather, it pertains to a review system for correct eating habits under Jewish ritual based on a set of religious criteria given in the Torah (Pentateuch). Such rules seek to establish a diet that benefits body and soul and attains physical and mental balance.
