“La Compañía” (The Campaign) Project of the Delfín Chamorro School
This project in the Delfín Chamorro School brings together youth who receive advice from an executive of AZUCARERA PARAGUAY S.A. The goal is to form a stock company and to operate it in the market for 14 weeks. This practice teaches the functioning of a real-life company with its many activities. It is started and run by the youth of the upper three high-school classes at the Delfín Chamorro School.
This program provides formal student education with hands-on self-instruction as pupils must be responsible for their own company.
The students have decided to produce a dessert called Flanderess made under principles of good manufacturing practices and without preservatives.
Training School for Trades
AZUCARERA PARAGUAYA has initiated a training school for trades in various areas, with the cooperation of the SNPP. This school presents an opportunity to the members of the local community, whereas they can receive professional preparation to have a better future.
Presently, there are programs for “home electricity” and “general mechanics.” Being part of the Ministry of Justice and Work, the SNPP gives the study certificates.
Project for Training in Computer Use
Called “Computer Literacy,” this project was presented to the Fundación Paraguaya and would equip some rural schools in our zone with computers and internet connection for practice in computer usage. The selected schools are Escuela de Apoyo, Escuela Antonio Bosch, Colegio Delfín Chamorro, and Escuela Maedy Ritter de Hoeckle.
