Melaza

This is the name given to the final molasses coming from the different residue stages of the final crystallization of sugar. Depending on the type of harvest, they are classified as:

  • Conventional molasses : is the one that is produced during the crystallization of conventional sucrose. It is used as raw material for the production of alcohol, yeasts or as a nutritional supplement for livestock.
  • Organic molasses : is the one that is produced during the crystallization of organic sugar. It is also used as a raw material for the production of alcohol, yeasts, the production of products for human consumption or as a nutritional supplement for livestock under organic farming.
